So without further adieu, here is a synopsis of how I got started in writing: I caught the “bug” back in 2013. I was reading books (lots of them, I’ll give you the list someday). In a particular fiction book, it said in the back that if you had an idea for a book, not to tell this author but to write the book yourself. I guess this author got a lot of requests/ideas for his book series. I actually have a story about him. He’ll remain nameless. In one of his books, he mentions my hometown. This town is small and to see it appear in a book from a national author was pretty amazing. So I emailed him and asked him how he knew about that town. He came back with a note that didn’t sit well with me. He said something like “don’t you wish you knew”. Well, after that I was pretty disillusioned about him. If he didn’t want to tell me, all he could have said was, “I’m sorry but I don’t release that information”. He didn’t have to be so mean about it. I later stopped reading his book series because the stories started to be absurd. They didn’t really seem like they would happen in real life. I wasn’t the only one who thought that. So he lost a reader.
