Hello fellow readers and writers:
I’ve got some great news!
To better help me and the readers keep up with all of my writing, I have decided to add two new sections to my Substack.
If you’re viewing my ‘stack on the web, you’ll see the two options on the menu bar. The new sections are called Fiction LaunchPad and Abstract Art.
Subscribers
All my subscribers will still receive everything in their inboxes or on the App with no changes. I have copied the whole subscriber list over to the new sections. You will now be subscribed to my original Writer’s Notebook, Fiction LaunchPad, and Abstract Art.
This will allow subscribers and non-subscribers, when viewing via the web, to find those two entities easier than having to look through all 90 stories to find them. And it’s already had its benefits, as I’ve received visits on a few of them already with it being split up like that. And it’s only been 1 day since I added them. This way if I get someone that’s just interested in one or two of those subjects, they can subscribe to just what they want.
If you’re reading on the web, you’ll see the two new sections listed on the menu bar at the top, complete with a couple of emojis.
So you’ll still enjoy everything you’ve been enjoying already.
New Sections
Fiction LaunchPad: This will be the location of all my fiction. I think it’s better to consolidate it under its own section. I’m starting to write more and more. And now it will be easier to find. Plus any subscribers that joined after I wrote some of the fiction stories can go back and look at what I wrote without trying to find it through all 90 stories.
What you’ll find under this category is anything fiction I write. That includes my 50-word, my multiple part fiction stories, etc.
Abstract Art: This will be my monthly updates on my art. Don’t forget I’ll be explaining everything about what the painting stands for and how I came up with the idea.
Fiction Update
If you were a subscriber back in August 2023, you’ll remember I did a story based on a real-life incident involving one of my subscribers. That story was called “The Woman on the Train”.
I had multiple people tell me they wanted me to continue that story. Well, I heard you. What was an 845-word story has now turned into 12,000 words and counting. In the coming weeks and months, I’ll be posting parts of it. I’m in the continuing stages of editing, adding, and trying to figure out where to splice it up at.
Abstract Art
Don’t forget this month I’ll be posting my paintings from January. I finished three. One is based on a subscriber’s hometown. Stay tuned to see who it is.
Newsletters
On the menu bar, there is a Newsletters section showing all of my newsletters.
Conclusion
So in conclusion, you don’t have to do anything. All new subscribers will be automatically signed up for everything. And current subscribers are signed up already.
I’ll still be continuing to write about my life. Right now that list is dwindling and I’m coming up with more fiction than stories about my life.
I can’t wait to see what awaits this Substack as I approach two years on Substack.
May 9th is my anniversary.
Just a reminder, if you have any problems, questions, or just want to drop an email and say hi, you can email me at matthewmurray@substack.com
Until next time, happy reading!
