If you’ve been following my Substack for any amount of time, you know I have been talking off and on about the “Characters of Cedar Run”. This time I have a unique thing that happened.
You can’t make this stuff up.
Now let’s get to this week’s story.
I have talked about the house north of us a few times. At one time, a single woman moved in. She had short to medium length blonde hair. I thought she was in her twenties. She had bought the house. That house changed ownership and rental status many times over the years.
Her boyfriend came over many times. One night, there was going to be a rocket launch. Rockets launch from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and Kennedy Space Center all the time. It doesn’t matter if it’s the daytime or nighttime. Every time it is beautiful.
They came outside in the grass next to her garage. I was outside too. I was standing next to my patio door. We were within twelve feet of each other.
I wanted to see if I could get a photo of the rocket. It always streams the orange glow from the rocket. I thought it would be cool if I could catch it on camera. I wasn’t even sure if my camera was capable of such a thing. I snapped a few photos with the flash on.
All of the sudden I hear the woman saying, “Look, it’s lightning!” LOL!!! 🤣
That was not lightning. That was the flash on my camera. LOL!!!! 🤣
There were no storms in the area. It was pitch black and clear.
The pictures didn’t come out. That was back when I didn’t have a lot of knowledge with cameras. Later, I learned that I shouldn’t have used the flash. In fact, I found out my camera couldn’t take the photo that I wanted. It wasn’t advanced enough. Later, I would add an advanced camera.
Conclusion
This was sure funny. How they never saw me standing there, I don’t know.
I hope you enjoyed this one!
Until next time, happy reading!
